License for OpenSim 4.0 and Later

The OpenSim Graphical User Interface (GUI) is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. Some dependencies have more restrictive licenses.

The OpenSim Application Programming Interface (API) is fully open source and licensed under the Apache 2.0 license:

Models, examples and plugins retain their own custom licenses. Refer to each individual file for information.
