2. Introduction to musculoskeletal modelling in OpenSim (+hands-on)

This lecture will provide an overview of musculoskeletal modelling as well as how this is framed within OpenSim. Please, find lecture slides below:

The hands-on part of the lecture will rely on the "gait2392.osim" musculoskeletal model, which you can find directly in the OpenSim model directory (created on your computer's local hard drive during OpenSim installation), as well as from the link below for your convenience:

The hands-on part objectives include:

  • become familiar with the OpenSim GUI
  • explore differences across joint and muscle types

This tutorial is based on Tutorial 1 - Intro to Musculoskeletal Modeling
